Excellent guitar and value! Jul 28, 2009
By ns I have owned this guitar for almost a year now and could not be happier! It is such a great guitar to play with perfect action. It makes every note sound perfect from and open low E to high E on the 19th fret, they all sound amazing. Crisp, clean sounds that are both mellow and sharp while projecting! The internal truss system really allows the notes to play. Every time I play I am impressed. Aside from this, it is beautiful! Abalone inlays with gorgeous rosewood back and sides. No laminates! All solid wood!
When I am at a Guitar Center, I always go to the acoustic room and play some Martins and Taylors that max out at about $6,000. I leave the room perfectly content, knowing that I paid much less for a guitar that is easier to play, more beautiful, and has a much richer sound! This is my guitar for life.
I have no regrets with this guitar. I recommend it to everyone. All of my friends who play guitar are all buying Breedlove's now, none of them can believe it when they play it. It sits in my room and is obviously a great looking guitar, but it proves itself on a whole new level when it is played.
BUY THIS GUITAR!

The guitar for me, too. Jun 03, 2011

I can only echo agreement with all the other comments shared on this beautiful instrument. I too tried other guitars, Martins, Taylors, Gibsons, which cost hundreds to thousands more than the D25/SR Breedlove, but none of them could compare in value and very rarely in quality of tone. The Breedlove is my primary concert instrument, while I use a good quality Yamaha for general purpose work. Both are solid evidence that you don't have to mortgage your house to possess a top quality guitar. The only problem I have ever encountered was a leather rope style handle on the case that started to tear. When I called Breedlove, however, I instantly got a real person on the phone (no irritating phone menu), and without any fuss, they explained that the handle design had been changed, and they shipped me a better replacement immediately. Kudos to Breedlove's great customer service.

Wanna Fall in Love? Pick Up This Guitar! Feb 05, 2011
By AerialTech I've been playing accoustic and electrics for 35 years, mostly as a hobby. I've owned or played Taylors, Gibsons, Washburns, Martins, Ovation, Yamaha, and Gretsch. I thought I had a fair notion what a guitar should feel and sound like.
While browsing a small guitar store near my home for the first time, I noticed that they carried Breedlove guitars. I'd never tried one on before, so I picked it off the hook and asked to borrow a pick. From the first notes, I was blown away. It was so easy to play and the clear tone filled the room.
I left the store, and about the time I got home I realized that I really wanted that guitar. I immediately turned around, headed back, and made my purchase.
This is no light-weight unit, but a seriously designed and constructed guitar that any professional would be proud to own, as well as being a great entry-level instrument. If I were allowed one guitar, this is the one I would own.
UPDATE: June 21, 2011 - Since this purchase, I have purchase two more Breedlove guitars. I recently went to a guitar store and started playing high end instruments to see what it would take to match to sound and quality of a Breedlove. I finally found something close to my $1000 guitar in a $3200 Taylor. I'm a believer!

Great guitar! Oct 03, 2010

I'd stopped playing for a long time and started playing this one about a month ago. I'm so impressed with this fine instrument. To begin, it's a work of art. The product description doesn't do it justice. It's flawless and plays superb. When getting back into the guitar, one will get the callouses and the finger sting for a little while but with the strings Breedlove puts one this beauty, that's actually minimalised. I can play this thing for hours. Practice is not a chore, it's like a guy once told me: "You are going to want to play this thing more often like a pretty girl you want to go out with more." That sums it up. It's a work of art that you want to put your hands on as much as possible.

Breedlove beauty Dec 06, 2011

After almost 20 years of playing guitars, I first picked up a Breedlove at Guitar Center in 2010. I played it alongside some Taylors, Martins, etc. The cream of the crop. I found the Breedlove to have the best sound, feel and balance (both physical and musically). The neck has an incredible feel; a smooth, solid foundation for chords, fingerpicking and solos. The audio performance is outstanding both miked and plugged. I've owned this guitar for almost a year at this point and love everything about it. Highly recommended. Here are some recordings of it: [...]
