4Affordable yet high quality.  Nov 24, 2010 By Rhett Jackson
The Breedlove Passport C200/SMP is a no-nonsense, no frills, serious acoustic guitar. Solid spruce top with dark-stained maple laminate back and sides (looks like mahogany) and a string-through-bridge design that eliminates the need for bridge pins. Has a nice, full sound with the note articulation I've come to expect from Breedloves. Not as subtle as my Martins but also hasn't had the playing time they've had, either (or the all solid wood construction and commensurate price). Hard strumming will overdrive the sound a little but this may improve as the top opens up. Really shines for finger- or flat-picking. The minimal appointments remind me of the Martin One Series. This is NOT a 7/8-sized guitar but a full concert-size body (Breedlove's C20 body) with a full 25.4 inch scale length. Similar in size (both listed with 15" lower bouts, the C200 5/8" longer at 20") to a Martin OM with the same scale length but without the wider neck-- the neck on the C200 is more like a Martin 000 neck with the OM scale length. If you're looking for an understated but attractive, good sounding guitar that is smaller than a dreadnought and with the durability of laminate back and side construction, this guitar fills the bill nicely-- especially for the price.

5Easy to play, very well built and has a great sound!  Jan 13, 2010 By Jan W. Sullins "Bender"
I own 3 acoustic guitars .Actually 2 of them are acoustic electric. All cost around $400.00. Breedlove has the Passport series built in Korea. However all Breedlove guitars are set up in Oregon USA. This guitar is a 7/8 but has a big sound. It is so easy to play . I really think for someone learning how to play this one would be perfect. And the thing is you will not ever out grow this guitar. You will never want to sell it even when you buy a different one.

5First reaction: "Wow!"  Aug 25, 2010 By Luis A. Sanchez "n/a"
I just tried this guitar out at my local guitar store. All I could say was "wow!" Simply because I looked at the price tag before trying it out. This thing sounds great for [...] bucks. If you're just starting out, need a guitar to travel with(since it's 7/8 size, I think) or need a guitar on the side, you won't regret this thing. I regret paying 1400 for my Martin, I think this would've been enough!

5Love this guitar!  Oct 31, 2011 By Jeff B
Picked this guitar up last week & could not believe how rich the sound was & how nice (easy) it is to play. The solid spruce top, maple back & sides give it a brighter tone than my mahogany/spruce TAK. The low end really comes through. Needless to say, it's become my favorite. The price is awesome. It's a beautiful piece of work without any flaws I can find. It came with a very nice Breedlove gig bag, although I'll be buying a hard shell case soon. With the solid spruce top, I'll be using a humidifier, and a hard shell case is preferable.

5Amazing Sound!  Aug 09, 2011 By Jerry Sun
This is my second acoustic guitar and it is amazing! Fit and finish are pretty god. The frets are not as flush to the neck as some of the more expensive guitars, but im just being super picky! The sound is amazing. It sounds like a guitar twice its price! Cannot go wrong with this purchase. The size is also just right for me. My other acoustic is a juggernaut style and this is more compact and manageable for me.
