This is a great preamp....it works great with my mandolin....it's lightweight and easy to use...I really needed this and I am really happy I bought it!

When I told my friends from my church praise band that I was planning to purchase a preamp for my cello, one of them highly recommended me to get Fishman brand, which is what I did. My goodness!!! This is the best preamp I ever had. Once all the connections have been taken care of, the preamp does the rest. The sound comes out crisp clear. I have the ability to adjust the volume, bass, middle, treble, and brilliance levers. In the package there was no notice about a belt clipper, which came with it, as an option. I also noticed that I had some difficulties installing the belt clipper onto my new preamp because of one of the phillips screws. I had difficulties trying to turn it tight, because the screw slot was not correctly marked on the screw. But for those of you, who don't care about the belt clipper, you don't have to worry about the screws. However, if there is any concern about the preamp, call Amazon.com, and they will give you the web site and/or contact info, where this preamp came from. I called the company to send me the new screws, and got them about 1 week later. Otherwise, I am in love with this preamp.
