Disapointed Apr 14, 2012
By migueldacruz The guitar has 7 strings... but you'll not get the model advertised on the picture. You'll get a lower quality model, with no truss rod and the worst finishing I have ever seen in a guitar. I had some chinese cheapo guitars that had much better finishing. The guitar sounds great but, since I got a different model, I'm not sure about the quality of the woods. The guitar sounds very good also when plugged, although the lower strings tend to sound to loud and bassy when compared with the higher ones. The guitar came very poorly finished: Marks and bumps on the wood, under the varnish; stains of glue and varnish here and there; stains of glue and pieces of wood missing inside the guitar body; the varnish poorly polished, giving the sensation that the guitar is allways dirty; actually, the varnish is so bad that cracks and falls off just by scratching slightly with your finger nails on it; the electronics came loose inside the guitar body; the action was too high, even for a classical, due to a very high bridge (that I had to sand down) and a very high nut whose wholes were not large enough for the strings, especially the higher ones, which created tuning problems as didn't allow the strings to slide properly in the nut; very poor tunners, so expect to have to tune the guitar between songs. The guitar is now (after some hours of dedicated work) playable and sounds ok. But I would never pay 600 usd for such a low quality guitar. The gig bag is a very poor quality one: has almost no padding and it was made for a 6 strings, which means it is too short for a 7 strings and therefore damages the headstock; after a couple of times opening and closing it, the zipper broke.

BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENT Feb 20, 2010

I just got this wonderful instrument. A SEVEN STRINGS CLASSICAL GUITAR!!!, with electronic amplifier built-in!. I love it. The strings are very nice spaced from each other, so that the neck doesn't look wide and still you can play the different strings easily. Also doing 7 string bar chords is not difficult and do not require much strength. I am already playing songs with this guitar using the seventh string with the deep sound of an A one octave lower than the 5th string. This kind of guitar is quite difficult or expensive to get, and here I got it for the price of a common guitar. The sound is very good for me and it came with a very nice gig bag. I thanks Giannini por putting these kind of guitars at the reach of everybody. I think seven string classical guitars will be common in the near future.
