A great 12-string guitar, especially at this price... Oct 04, 2011
By FloridaGull I recently did some research on the Internet for a potential 12-string guitar purchase sometime in the future. When I found this uniquely-shaped rascal, I was intrigued. I did some further research on Giannini and the Craviola, and I found that no one had anything negative to say about them. Also found out that Jimmy Page played one - not a bad endorsement... I took a chance and ordered one, since Amazon has a good return policy. I was not disappointed. The gig bag that the guitar comes with leaves something to be desired (the hard-shell case is very expensive - I'll get one someday), but the guitar itself is very good quality, played well right out of the box (well, after I tuned it), and has a wonderful tone. The unique shape is also very comfortable to play. If you are considering purchasing a 12-string guitar, you would do yourself a great disservice by not checking the Giannini Craviola out as a possible contender. Have a happy, guitar-oriented day!

Beautifull wood with a disapointing finish Aug 31, 2009

I allready own a professional model Giannini steel string Spruce and Indian Rosewood six string beatuty and I wanted a twelve string to complement it.The Bollivian Rosewood(Morado) wood is wonderfull with a nice bookmatched back and the spruce top is flawless. The back had a few voids in the stain and makes the new guitar look cheaper than it is.There were a few small dings in the headstick and the string set was not up to par with my $1,000.00 (here at Amazon)model.I replaced the strings with D'Addarios and polished the back with Martin Guitar polish a few times and the increased shine made the back look better.Thge guitar plays very well as good as my Brazillian Washburn 12 string and my maple Sigma 12 string. All in all I am very satified with the guitar.$467.00 with a soft gig bag and free shipping made this a good purchase I just wish that I could have had my pick of a few guitars to choose from. The odd shape makes this guitar very comfortable to play.
Best 12-string sound at any price. Jan 18, 2012
By The Beep After trying forever to find a 12 string with decent bass response, I've finally found it. Not only is the bass there but the tone all around is exceptional. The only downside is the company's quality control. I purchased the 6 and 12 string Craviola's but had to return the 6 due to numerous flaws in workmanship. Having said that, the 12 came in nearly perfect. I had to lower the action a bit and wipe a bunch of dust off of it, but now it's a keeper. IMO, it's worth trying. Amazon is a great dealer. I had no problem or expense returning the other guitar.
