This guitar stand saves space at home and the guitars finally have a steady place to be.
 Poor Packaging, Mediocre Quality Apr 13, 2012

I was looking forward to this stand since the space I have available will not work with guitar stands that stow instruments side-by-side, as opposed to in-line. The package arrived in the usual timely Amazon manner, but the box was in tatters. It appears to be one of the products shipped only in the original packaging. This might normally work fine, but since there is no packing material in the box, the rack was free to move about the box during shipping, AND the original packaging also only had two strips of packing tape to hold the ends closed. This resulted in a package that was more holes than box. I will either have to reinforce the box or find another one to re-pack it in order to return the product.
The product was in relatively good condition, despite the packaging. There were a few scuffs here and there, especially where it had protruded from the box during shipping, but nothing I couldn't live with. Unfortunately, when set-up for use, the rack didn't sit evenly on a flat surface. Totally unacceptable for the intention of securely holding three guitars. I am uncertain whether this is due to poor construction or damage as a result of shipping.
Regardless, the arms/hooks were lightly, though reasonably, padded but the foam strips meant to protect the bellies of the guitars were anemic. While they were properly positioned, they were also quite thin and narrow. I would prefer more padding at that contact point. I could be wrong, but it also seems like the weight of a solid body or semi-hollow might eventually compress the thin padding rendering it useless.
Overall, I'm dissappointed in the product. It is a good idea, poorly executed. Some items can be inexpensively constructed and still be adequate without skimping on bare-bones necessities. Unfortunately, this rack just seemed cheap. I wouldn't take a chance on another.
