not for travel Sep 29, 2009
By A. Ceez This stand is made of very flimsy material and would fall apart if you had to take it on-the-road; however, if you set it up and home and just leave it in one spot I believe it will hold together.

Versatile Guitar Stand Jan 30, 2010
By Frank M. Coury Very pleased with this stand. I find it to be versatile in holding different size and types of guitars. It will hold my acoustic guitars as well as my electric guitars. It is very stable and simple to set up. For the money you can't go wrong.

Collapsed immediately Oct 11, 2011
By manderson I put this stand together, placed my lightweight openback banjo on it, and the prongs that cradle the body of the instrument immediately gave way, sending my banjo nearly crashing to the floor (I dove to save it). I tried wedging the pieces together but the metal has slowly bent so that my banjo is currently resting on the floor while ostensibly being held by the stand. I don't ask much from instrument stands. Just, you know, that they stand. This one failed miserably.

Piece of junk or part missing? Sep 22, 2011
By A. Feinman
"A. Feinman 50+ rocker and more!"
I have 2 other guitar stands and did not want to buy one at the local store. This was highly rated by another buyer but it is a piece of junk, or they did not supply a part. I could not screw it together, the screw does not catch inside the stand. I had to use electrical tape to secure the stand and the bottom part the guitar rests on. It is flimsy and if I bought it locally I would return it. It is part of a birthday present for 5 days from now so I am not going to waste another penny returning it. I put my less used guitar on it and I am glad I did not spend too much. Don't buy this stand if you plan to use it heavily, or use it at all!

Collapsible guitar Stand Jul 03, 2011
By Saint305XL I went to a flea market this morning and visited a guitar shop in the market mall. I purchased this same stand for $10.00 flat. The seller also offered me a few free picks and a Fender Beginners Guitar Essentials DVD. I purchased the stand and got the extra free items all for $10.00 and I am very pleased. The stand is collapsible and has two "U" shaped holding pieces that disconnect from the main stand frame. The product is durable and holds together fine. A minor complaint that I have is that the "U" shaped pieces don't hold tight very well, actually not at all. They swivel a full 360 degrees, but the good thing is that it doesn't fall off the frame, they just spin around when my guitar is not resting in its place. There is a small groove for the pieces to fit into the frame and it won't just "pop off" at any given time. There is a knob on the back of the main pole that is easily adjustable for raising the height or lowering it, if you choose to. The stand will fit almost any size guitar you can think of, I have a Dreadnought and it is more than adequate for its purpose. The tripod legs collapse downward so that you may fold it long ways and stuff it under a bed or in a nook inside your closet when not in use. It is relatively easy to use and is great quality and worth the price for which you pay. I saved three bucks buying it locally, but it is reasonably priced here. My recommendation is that I recommend this product to any guitar player who would just like a simple stand at a fairly great price.
