Pretty much as advertised Feb 26, 2011
By Mark J I did not have the issues the other reviewer describes. Mine seemed well constructed and came with two keys. I've uploaded pictures of mine.
Overall I think it's a decent item. It seems rugged enough (If you needed something more rugged, you'd probably be looking into true hardshell cases like the Gator cases). Mine had a couple of scuffs on the outside (see photos) but a case will accumulate those over time anyway. The latches work fine, but I wish the hinges gave a little more resistance. I shook the case pretty vigorously and wasn't able to get any of them to open accidentally, however.
The velvet on the inside is not as nice as the pictures show. It's not as plush as you'd expect to find, like in true 'vintage' cases, but it should protect the guitar from scratches.
The other reviewer mentioned this, but the fit is pretty snug at first for a dreadnought. I have a Seagull Maritime (which I think is slightly smaller than the usual acoustic) and an entry-level Alvarez, and they both fit in this but it's very snug. I do expect, given the texture of the foam, this will become less of an issue over time as it adapts to my guitar's shape.
I think it's a decent value. Again, if you want a lot more protection I recommend the Gator cases (at this price point or a bit higher). If you want something that looks REALLY authentic/vintage I might steer you elsewhere. But if you want a midrange case that's good for storage and some travel duty, this one works.

it's not great, but it's ok.. May 04, 2011
By AllAcoustic I just got case for $70, and I wasn't that happy. Outside, looks great, but inside looks pretty bad. the plush material is very cheap looking/feeling, smells really bad, and it looks like it is bearly attached to the case. I'm not totally unsatisfied, because it was only $70, and the outside looks nice. Also, it fits my Recording King RDC-26 well.
I wouldn't use this for a high-end guitar though.
Great case especially for $70 Feb 15, 2012
By opnwhl4 The interior was exactly as I expected. This is crushed velvet not plush interior. IT does fit my D28 a bit snug, but is taking to it's shape nicely. Besides, who wants their guitar bouncing around in the case? The lid closes perfectly, something I cannot say my 640 case that came with my D28 did. Latches are all solid and work good. Case feels very sturdy and has way less flex than my 640 case. As for the smell, all cases have some sort of smell from the glue. Some companies cover it up with vanilla scent. I left it open for a couple days and the smell was gone.

Does not fit a Dreadnought Guitar Feb 12, 2011
By CV This case does not fit a standard dreadnought guitar. Way too small to accomodate mine. The crushed velvet lining was not glued well to the underside of the lid so that it drooped. There were no keys sent with the case for the keyed locking latch. Sent it back for a refund.
