Stiff but tough Jan 13, 2008
By Beejhou This is a solidly constructed bit of kit. It doesn't feel like its going to break any time soon. I've used it on my electric and acoustic and it works very nicely on both. Good cushioning ensures no marks or scratches even if you're a little rough taking it off. On the down side, it is very stiff to open. I had hoped it would ease up with use but is still taking no prisoners. I often have difficulty getting it onto the guitar. I would not recommend this if you are buying for a child, elderly or not so strong in the hands. I would also not recommend it if you are planning to use your capo on stage- it can lead to some embarrasing pauses whilst you wrestle with it!

Works great for the price May 08, 2008
By Mason Blaylock Works great on my Ovation acoustic/electric. As other reviewer's have said, you do have to squeeze it a little hard open it, but it's not really an issue. Most guitar players have well developed muscles in their left hand anyway.

7 Months and still works great. Apr 03, 2007
By K. Leiter I know most people would look at this and think for the price it can't be that great. But it does everything a capo should do and well. I've had no trouble with it coming apart, and if it does, I guarantee I will replace it with the exact same one. You absolutely cannot go wrong for the price.

Dunlop Trigger Classical Guitar Capo, Black If you need a capo then this is a good cheap alternative. I bought two of these one for my acoustic, and electric guitars, and now when they say capo I AM all in there. Good product, cheap price.

Great Capo! Jan 25, 2011
By race6 My friend owned this same capo and I liked it so much that I decided to order my own- and I'd recommend it to anyone!
As a relatively new guitar player, I found this capo perfect for my needs. I really don't know what some people are talking about- it's not hard to open at all (I'm 19 and a girl!). I like that it's the right amount of tightness, and I've heard from friends who've been playing much longer that the tension spring (is that what it's called?) in bad capos tends to snap right away or that the tightness wears off after a while. Well, I use this capo daily and it's as strong as ever (have had it about a month) plus, I know it lasts much longer because I used my friends and she's had it for 6 months. Lastly, I really like that it's padded to protect your guitar from unnecessary scratches. Definitely worth the money.
