Best product to humidify a steel-string guitar. Another reviewer complained you need a screwdriver to install in soundhole. Absolutely not true. It's made of very soft plastic, almost like rubber. I find easiest fit is to insert one side completely under the soundhole and then gently squeeze other side under.
You can leave it in place while you play so it also acts as a very effective mute. Your girlfriend/wife or neighbours will thank you!

I bought this humidifier largely due to the positive reviews. The humidifier covers the entire sound hole, but it takes a good deal of pressure to fit it into my Martin D-28. When using it, I was meticulous about squeezing all the water out and using a paper towel to soak up any residual water from the sponge and around the rim of the humidifier before I inserted it into the guitar. Nevertheless, the humidifier reacted with the finish around the sound hole of my guitar. I find that completely unacceptable. Use it at your own risk.

The only good humidity control solution for my Seagull S6 + TRIC case Dec 14, 2011

I tried the Oasis humidifier only to find out that it will not fit in the Seagull's own TRIC case. This however fits very snug, doesn't require stretching the strings out to fit it, and does what it claims to do. Just make sure you use distilled water and wring the excess away and pat it down before inserting it to avoid drippage into your instrument.

This is a a great guitar humidifier. You have to keep it wet in dry weather, by soaking it every 5 days or so, and you can use it in a humid environment to drain excess moisture. Keep in mind that this humidifies the body of the guitar only, and to humidify the neck, you need a case humidifier as well. Five stars. I use this in all of my guitars.

Run the humidifier under some water to let the sponge inside fill up. Then squeeze out all the excess so that no water leaks down and damages the inside wood of your guitar. Then simply place it under the strings in the sound hole. I've been using mine for a little over a year and it still works great.
I typically use it more during the winter when the humidity drops much lower. After I take it out, the inside of my guitar even smells nice and humidified. Love it.
