 Now I know what Levy's Leathers "3" means. May 18, 2009

This is a nicely made guitar strap. Served its purpose well. I was wondering what Levy's Leathers "3" means. Now I know it meant 3 inches wide after I bought it! It is quite wide indeed. I would have bought a 2 inches wide if I knew earlier, but this one was okay too.

I'm quite impressed with the quality of this guitar strap. The strap itself is quite wide, it is a soft weave and it rests on your shoulder nicely, didn't dig in at all.
The stitching is well done, no lose threads on my strap. I installed a pair of Strap Locks on each end and it didn't affect the ends of the strap, some lesser quality straps tend to warp under the pressure of the Strap Lock.
I did try the strap out on three guitars before I installed the locks to see how it gripped, I tried my Charvel, Hamer and Schecter and had no issues, I just feel more comfortable with the locks installed.

Solid 3 Inch Wide Guitar Strap May 19, 2011

Yes, the "3" in "Levy's Leathers 3 Polypropylene Guitar Strap" is for 3 inches wide. This strap by Levy's is your typical polypropylene guitar strap (save for the fact it is 3 inches wide rather than the typical 2 inches wide) like the cheap nylon feeling straps you find at any guitar store with that store's name on it.
The pads on the end of the strap are firm/thick (the ends are not made of leather) and have a good quality feel to them; I don't anticipate them wearing down/becoming flimsy any time soon.
Most 3 inch straps are promoted as bass straps, but I don't play bass and I got this for my heavy semi-hollow electric. It feels great, much better than the 2 inch wide straps that cut in to my shoulder after 20 mins.
This is a solid basic 3 inch strap that recommend for any one who wants a wider strap because of their heavy bass or electric guitar.
