 Disappointing, VERY DISAPPOINTING Nov 10, 2011

I have to agree with the other reviews.............very inferior leather and the color (Natural) is so ugly..........it looks like "Par-boiled meat" if not worse.
I thought that the low marks in the reviews may have been overstated in that Martin stresses quality so highly but..............I was wrong. Don't bother purchasing this strap............do yourself a favor.............just move on to the next one but for sure..........avoid this one. Sorry Martin.............your Guitars deserve much, much better than this.

This strap was gifted to me by a lady who had others she preferred more. Now I can see why.
I don't know why Martin put their name on this. The strap is an embarrassment. It is thinner, less supple, and more poorly finished than any belt I have owned. The back may or may not need felt, but it certainly looks and feels cheap. In fact, the entire strap looks and feels cheap. The only thing that Martin got right is the color.
I expect that I will be putting this one quietly away and buying one of the bestselling Planet Waves straps. They look like they take their guitar accessories seriously. But releasing this strap to the market is a major lapse in judgment for Martin. Sorry for the bad news.

I've purchased this product around 8 months ago from a music store and the strap was above par for all quality measures. Around 3 months I ordered another, from Amazon, in a different color and the quality was less in terms of thickness and stiffness of the leather. Upon receiving this 3rd strap, I am totally dissatisfied with Martin's strap. It is very thin and as stiff as cardboard. Martin should stop selling low grade straps or insist that the leather supplier only use leather that is suitable for contact with human skin.

nice strap...but when i received it, it was not as pictured, it was a different color more of like a cardboard look....I wanted it to go with my light colored martin guitar...but like i said it came as like a cardboard color...so it didn't match and it was ugly.... I will say the seller did an exchange for me, for the brown one...hence the 2 stars not 1 star
