5You can use more than one  Jul 21, 2007 By Sheldon
If it's really dry you can place more than one of these in your guitar easily and raise the humidity quite a bit. Where I live, this is the only humidifier that's raised the humidity over about 38% (using two). I've actually had to be careful as I've hit almost 60%.

Using a humidity gauge in the case you can really fine tune the humidity, and because it doesn't cover the soundhole it humidifies the entire guitar.

Nice product, and Martin wouldn't make anything that would hurt your instrument. Just be sure to squeeze out the excess water.

5Better Than Planet Waves, and Cheaper Than Dampit  Jan 13, 2010 By Scott Rauch "Papa"
I have several of these now, and have given them as gifts.

Pros:
No hard parts. You could probably hurl this thing at your guitar without damaging either the guitar or the humidifier. (I was always afraid I would accidentally lay my guitar on my Planet Waves humidifier and mess up the guitar.)

It doesn't rot or get otherwise cruddy. Again, Planet Waves turned into a crumbly rotten mess that refused to absorb water.

Fast and easy to load with water. Recharging the Planet Waves is a slow tedious process.

Cheaper than Dampit.

Cons:
None that I could find.

These guys work.

5Great product works as advertised  Dec 12, 2011 By Kenneth H. Smith
I own several fairly expensive acoustic guitars and thus need to keep each properly humidified (above 40%) particularly during the winter when home heating reduces humnidity levels. I have a couple of these as well as a few similar, although smaller, 'Dampit' products. These Martin products seem to last a couple of days longer than the competitor thus I check and replenish the humidifier about every nine days or so. No need to use them here in Texas other than the winter months. I recommend these.

3Also not a Martin  Apr 07, 2012 By MA
I ordered a Martin guitar humidifier and received an RDM Enterprises humitron. No where could I find that the "M" in RDM stands for Martin and it is certainly not the Martin Guitars we all recognize. This guitar humidifier may look similar and may be a comparable or better product but I also feel this was false advertising. I also did not see a clause that a comparable product would be substituted if the product I ordered was not available.

2Not Martin  Apr 04, 2012 By akim
To my surprise the product I received was not from Martin. Tried it out and it seems to be working but I am skeptical to the quality and duration of whatever company's product this is. Definitely not from Martin, which is false advertising, which to me is a big disappointment.
