Not Large Sep 12, 2011
By Lawrence L. Bish The product is presented as large thumb picks. These are not large by any standard I've used in the past 40 years. They fit too tight and seem flimsy. I don't expect them to last very long. They also seem to lean toward the front in attack which flattens the position I have to use on my right hand. This is OK for a boom-chick technique but awful when I want to use a more classical style. I might change my attitude after I use them for a while but out of the package they're not what I expected and I would not buy them if I were shopping at a music store.

Haven't broken any yet... Jun 05, 2011
By BRUCE not as thick or ridgid as the Dobro clear or Dunlop white... and a little larger. I thought they wouldn't last, frankly I thought they'd break early... but after several months of use they are holding up fine. The angle of attack and ability to stay put on my thumb when I'm doing actual finger picking (versus gripping like a flat pick) has been 100% fine. So far, so good. Ask me again in a year.

Pretty good Oct 24, 2010
By Girlpulse Pretty good picks, have them for 2 weeks now, and feel pretty confortable, and I have big hands. They're not slim, but not too hard, the sound pretty nice if I'm rocking or just fingering. They seem durable, but maybe will come back to review it after a few months, and tell you if they broke easily or not.
Not Bad; Not bad At All May 14, 2012
By Orion E. Hubbard Like others, I have large hands and particularly large, thick, thumbs. I rather not use any kind of pick at all when playing the guitar, but my hands are sensitive to the steel strings, so I started using a thumb pick because they are so much easier for me than holding a pick with my fingers.
These Planet Wave picks, while supposed to be large, are nice to play with but a little bit uncomfortably tight on my fat thumbs. Unfortunately this is a common problem with thumb picks: when they say "large," they mean their large size, and their largest product-- but not necessarily for large thumbs. Finding a thumb pick that fits is so often a crap shoot. Other than being a bit too snug, these picks are a good product, but if you want something comfortable for big thumbs, look elsewhere.
Large they ain't Apr 25, 2012
By John Weissman I don't like to downrate products, but these picks are not large. Whosever finger-size they are modeled after does not represent what a large finger pick shood be. My fingers are medium male, not over thick, and these things are mini tournequets. can't imagine the "medium".
