I noticed a couple of reviews suggesting this can somehow damage an acoustic guitar with drips of water. I think that's totally tied to how one uses it. This humidifier is basically a rubber perforated tube with a sponge-like core. You soak it in water, then (and this is the important part), wring it out enough that it will not drip if you hold it by one end and watch to see if water collects at the other tip. If you do this, it shouldn't be a problem.

Just as described, and a much better price than offered at local music stores. I bought three of these for each guitar and use them with distilled water. They do dry out in about a week in my dry climate. More pricey ones may stay moist longer, but these are great for the price.

This tube humidifier is actually too small for standard dreadnought. You will have to use two or resoak one much too often. My recommendation is spend a few morse dollars and get a Dampit (I only have to check very week or so).
