5Funny. Small size. Big voice  Dec 11, 2009 By J. Keeling
A PERSONAL OPINION. The Taylor BT2 is a really nice guitar. I did not say The Taylor BT2 is a really nice little guitar. Why? We could talk about guitar size, shape, wood type, action, nut size, and acoustics but it is easier to just say, this guitar is very easy to play and sounds much bigger than it really is. I bought this guitar to carry to parties and family gatherings (I'm the lease musically talented in my family but I got guts) as I was getting tired of toting my big Ovation back and fourth. This little guitar with the big voice was just what I was looking for. Fact is, I messed around trying to buy a used Baby Taylor off eBay and found this guitar sells for $220 to $305 USED. Shoot, I bought a new one for $299. This is a very nice guitar and I am sure the model BT1 is good too; I just like mahogany better than spruce. I recommend this Baby Taylor to anyone as a first guitar or as in my case, a second.

5Great little travel companion  Jun 07, 2009 By B. Carlson
I love my baby Taylor -- it's big enough to produce a decent tone, yet small enough to be really portable. It comes with a nice little padded case, and it fits perfectly in an overhead bin. The sound is significantly fuller and louder than a Washburn Rover or Martin Backpacker. To get a better sound, you'd have to spend a lot more for a high end parlor guitar.

It's not intended to be a first guitar, although it's size might work for a child or smaller person. If you already have a nice full-sized guitar, though, and want something to take with you on your travels, this is one is great.

5drreadnought Sound for a small guitar  Jan 21, 2011 By Janis Silva
I played one of these Baby Taylor Mahogoney guitars, at a friends house. She bought it to "learn to play a guitar on" I was so impressed with the quality, size, and sound, I said " I have to have one of these"... I had sold a Tenor guitar, and never replaced it. I wanted something small and has a dynamite sound, until I found this one. I can take this to the Beach, on a plane, very conenvenient. I own 2 Martin guitars, a 12-string, and 6-string accoustic. This guitar needs no bridge adjustment because its already dialed in. It came with top of the line, Elixir guitar strings. Also came with a few booklets explaining how it was made. Reminds me of my Martins. Has a warranty guarantee you can fill out online. Its very well made, and I beleive its made in Mexico by Taylor. But thats OK The price is right. I highly recommend this model to anyone who is learning, or experienced and likes to collect guitars. Main thing is: The sound is Real, not "tinty".... I love this 3/4 Taylor. The gig bag it comes in is high quality as well. Heavy Canvas quality, light brown color. The word TAYLOR is imbedded on the outside of the material... This little BT2 Taylor will be in my collection for year. I am a woman, I play left-handed (self taught).. play upside down with a regular right hander guitar....have played for over 30 years .. This guitar is for anyone ... experienced, or unexperienced... adults, as well as younger people that want to learn to play .. or older people that want to learn. I would highly recommend this guitar...

5Baby Taylor  Feb 06, 2010 By S. D. Silberstein
Outstanding playability and great sound for a guitar of this size (hard to find small guitars with a good deep end). The construction and materials are of better quality than I expected for the price.
